Lee 'Hacksaw' Hamilton is back with the XX1090 broadcast team this fall! The legendary sportstalk show
host joins XX1090 with "Sportswatch" weekdays at 3 - 7 p.m.
When he's not on the XX1090 airwaves, he also does the NFL Game of the Week for
Compass Media Networks and hosts a National Baseball Talkshow on the weekends for
XM-Home Plate Channel. In the spare time he does have, he writes a weekly column for SDNN.com.
Lee is a 7-time "Talkshow Host of the Year", voted on by Southern
California Sports Broadcasters Association. He spent 21-years doing afternoon sports talk shows on
legendary XTRA 690 in San Diego-Los Angeles called "Sportsnight".
He was the longtime popular voice of the San Diego
Chargers and did play-by-play for the Seattle Seahawks, USC Trojans, San Diego State Aztecs
and Arizona State Sun Devils football.
Prior to that, he spent seven years in Phoenix hosting evening "620
Sportsline" show on KTAR and broadcasting Arizona State football and Phoenix
Giants baseball.
He also spent seven years in Cleveland at the legendary
3WE-Radio, as the voice of the World Hockey Association Cleveland Crusaders and TV voice of the Indianapolis Racers and doing his ever-popular "Sportsline" show.
Hacksaw has also broadcast the Rose Bowl, Super Bowl and WHA All-Star
Games.
Hamilton is a native of Long Island with degrees in
Radio-TV-Journalism from Ohio University. He came from a strong sports journalism background. His father was
minor league pitcher and his uncle was the first President of the Baseball Writers
Association of America and covered the Brooklyn Dodgers.
Hacksaw currently lives in Rancho Bernardo with his wife, Liz. They have two sons:
Kelly, a film major and Scotty, a flight major and nationally ranked college wrestler.
