Lots and Lots of Snow!

WOW… we got so much snow, between 5 and 7 feet, it virtually incapacitated the Valley for almost a week. Road were open, then not, then open again….it was snowing like crazy the whole time..It was like we were in a cocoon!  Anyhow, we had major issues with roads, power, supplies, snow removal due to the huge amounts of snow in such a short period of time…BUT HAD AWESOME SKIING AND SNOWBOARDING CONDITIONS and now we need some help with damage control to let people know they can get here and it’s fantastic!  

The snow really is unbelievable and we received more snow in back to back storms than we have received since 1969!  So with that said this is a brief tag that we would love for you to use as a talking point or on the web or whatever you can do!

Winer Storms Approaching!

A series of winter storms are expected to roll through this week, starting today. Today’s forecast calls for mostly snow at higher elevations, and mixed precipitation at the base area during the day. Heavy snowfall is expected later this afternoon with snow accumulation from 8″-16″ tonight into tomorrow. Check the Current Snow Report HERE for updated snow conditions and road conditions.

The Burton Demo Tour continues today. Have the chance to ride Burton boards, boots and bindings at the largest product demo in the snowboard world. The demos are FREE. Just present your current area use ticket or season pass, along with a valid I.D. and credit card for deposit purposes and you can test out the latest and greatest by Burton.

We All Love the Park! (1/11)

This Sunday Bear Mountain will host the Superpipe Burton AM series, so be sure to make it up here to catch the BIG air!

Another Superpipe event we’re anxiously awaiting is the Gatorade Free Flow Tour which will take place Saturday January 23rd, another that is sure to be a good spectator event!

Last but definitely not least, the Superpipe will be open to ALL of our Bear friends after this weekend’s event so come on up and get some air time.

Santa is in the Building (12/16)

Well it’s that time of year folks, and Bear’s very own jibbin' Santa was on the hill today to prove it! This year Santa reported to us here at Bear that there was a great need for jibs and snow features this year, so we of course delivered. Overnight we added a new shark fin feature as well as the creeper rail, but that’s not all! Santa was also overjoyed to see what great hips we had in Powder Bowl and he even tested out our famous van jib. Overall Santa was extremely impressed, he told us Bear was the place to be for jibbin' holiday fun!
